Care Instructions
Your quilt has been given to you already washed and ironed. You might see that it does not look very flat. That is because a slight natural shrinkage of the fabric and wadding has occurred in the washing process. This is normal with all quilts.
To wash your quilt, set your washing machine to a gentle cycle and choose cold water. I recommend that a gentle detergent be used. If you are nervous about the fabric colour bleeding, throw in a couple of Colour Catchers sheets. Remember to read the packaging instructions before using it.
If you want to machine dry your quilt, it is very important to set the temperature to LOW HEAT. Your quilt is delicate, so you will want to use low to no heat when drying it. To be safe, don't dry it all the way. Tumble dry it on low until it is damp, and then let it air dry.
If you decide to solely air dry the quilt, remember that they are very heavy when wet and can be tricky to hang and threads could pop due to the weight. It is recommended that the quilt is supported evenly on a few airers, or laid flat on towels.
Your quilt can also be dry cleaned, but be careful as the chemicals used can damage quilts after repeated cleaning.

Client Review
I have always loved quilts and antiques, particularly antique china/porcelain. When I found a wonderful old set of Dutch blue and yellow porcelain, I just knew that it was a special addition to my home but, also felt there was a story behind that would never be told. Enter Geraldine!
Geraldine has made several bespoke designed quilts for me over the years. Wonderful creative pieces that are treasured and adored by my children and friends in Oregon, Tennessee and Barcelona.
However, this quilt was for me. As always, I gave Geraldine free rein to run with her creativity. And, I am so glad I did! The result is the most beautiful quilt representing the old world of antiquities that I love so much and the new world of progress and change that I embrace. I cannot ever thank you you enough for such a beautiful piece of work that will be treasured always.
